Woman's Life Insurance Society® Presents September 11th Aid Checks to the Salvation Army and Red Cross

- Port Huron, Michigan

When news of the September 11th tragedy struck, Woman's Life Insurance Society immediately called its members into action with an all-points bulletin declaring that all funds raised for the September 11th Fund would be matched by Woman's Life. Members throughout the United States quickly began selling flag pins, organizing bake sales and planning fundraising activities.

To date, Woman's Life has raised $8,538 for the Salvation Army and $5,553 for the Red Cross. It was with great pride that Wendy L. Krabach, Director of Communications and Fraternal Services for Woman's Life, presented checks to both Captain Robert Webster of the Port Huron Salvation Army and Jim Relken, CEO of the Port Huron Red Cross, "I can't think of anything in my lifetime that has touched so many people as deeply as the terrorist attacks on September 11th," commented Mr. Krabach.

Woman's Life Insurance Society is a not-for-profit fraternal benefit society created over a century ago to help women protect themselves and their families from the unexpeted and unplanned through affordable family life insurance and annuity products.
