Woman’s Life® Helps Protect Babies with New Benefit |
(Port Huron, Mich. – March 14, 2000) – Woman’s Life Insurance Society announces the addition of a baby car seat benefit to its full array of benefits for members. "Every child needs to be protected with a car seat, and in most states it’s against the law not to have small children protected by one," said Wendy L. Krabach, director of communications and fraternal services for the 108-year old Society. "With this benefit, Woman’s Life is simply providing a small incentive for our members to give the gift of life to those they love."
Woman’s Life will reimburse eligible members $5 for the purchase of a new baby car seat purchased within six months prior to submitting the application for any child they choose, up to one car seat per child. The New Baby Car Seat Benefit is just one of several provided to benefit members to help them protect themselves and their families. Other benefits that protect children include scholarships, education benefits, newborn guaranteed insurability, newborn death and surviving child benefits.
Woman’s Life Insurance Society is a not-for-profit fraternal benefit society created over a century ago to help women protect themselves and their families from the unexpected and unplanned through affordable family life insurance protection and annuity products. Fraternal benefits, such as scholarship programs, cancer and disaster benefits, and other individually designed benefits, further protect families from unplanned or extraordinary financial burdens. Through local chapters, members participate in service projects, fundraising and social events as well as educational and leadership programs.
The Woman's Life Insurance Society Home Office is located in Port Huron, Michigan. Since its founding in 1892, Woman’s Life has contributed millions of dollars in matching funds to augment the volunteer efforts of its local units throughout the United States and Canada. In 1999 that amounted to a quarter of a million dollars raised and donated to people in need and other charitable organizations. That same year, members conducted 50,000 acts of community service and donated nearly a quarter of a million volunteer service hours. More information about the Society is available at its website, www.womanslifeins.com.
